Foundations of yoga

This class is designed to be useful to everyone from complete beginners to advanced students and yoga teachers. In this class, we deliberately shift our focus away from what we are doing (what poses, what transitions) to how we are moving, breathing, and experiencing this moment in time.

This shift from the what to the how is challenging for most of us, but requires and thus teaches us to turn off the autopilot and to stop following the path of least resistance. The shift from the what to the how also teaches us to let go of our attachment to the goals and desires that tend to distract us from the here and now, and replaces it with a simple yet powerful question: “How can I imbue this moment in time with more joy?”
